2022 September/October LD Topic Lecture

The 2022-2023 LD debate season is here and so is the September/October LD topic. My LD Coach contributor, Nae Edwards, is here with the official 2022 September/October Topic Lecture. Nae has unique insight for LD debaters preparing for the Single-Payer healthcare topic. As a part of the Wake Forest debate team, Nae researched and competed on this topic for the 2017-2018 NDT-CEDA season. He has in-round experience from an entire year of college debate that will help LD debaters know what to expect.

Progressive LD debaters, critical LD debaters, circuit LD debaters, LARP debaters, and even traditional debaters will find this video useful. It covers a variety of policy, critical, and value/criterion affirmatives great for this resolution. It will also cover critiques, disadvantages, counterplans, and contention answers for the negative.

This topic lecture is geared toward circuit-style LD debate; however, there is something for everyone. A September-October topic lecture for traditional debaters has been recorded by Joseph Barquin and is available on the myLDcoach YouTube channel.
