How to: Setup Debates

This video introduces the concept of Setup Debates and explains how to utilize the setup debates on this channel to improve as a debate.

A Setup Debates is when a debater flows up until a certain point and gives the next speech in the debate. I always hear coaches tell debaters at camp or after rounds to watch a certain NDT/TOC debate (or their own), flow up to a certain speech in the debate in real time, and give a speech in real time given the actual prep circumstances for the debate. This video explains what to do in those scenarios, specifically using the two mock setup debates I created for the LAWS topic.
